Are you shocked I'm posting?

I'm kinda shocked myself!

Yes I've been MIA but for good reason. I've been sooo busy. HOLY MOLY friends!

But I couldn't be more thrilled with how busy I've been.

In April I was asked if I would do the marketing photography for the Days of 47 Rodeo! HECK YEAH!

So I was busy doing that.  You can see my pictures on two billboards in the Salt Lake Valley (one on 1-15 and on on SR201)  Plus you can see my stuff in Gardner Village and Maverick Country Stores.  This is big!

Oh and guess who is on them? ELLE! YEAH!  

It's so cute every time we drive past the billboards Ava says "wook Elle, your beeboard".

I have also been really busy planning my photographers retreat.  This will take place at the end of the month.  I'm so excited.  I have one lady coming from Canada, and two from Louisiana.  

I've been doing a lot of commercial work for business around the country too.  They send me product and I photograph it for them.  

All this has been a dream come true.  I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for me.

10 years!

On June 9th I celebrated my 10 year anniversary!

I'm the luckiest ever!

Dave is the bestest husband I could ever ask for.

He loves me regardless of my many....MANY ...many flaws.

And I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful dude as my husband.

We celebrated our 10 year actually back in February when we spent 11 blissful days on a cruise.  So we just went to dinner and a movie on our actual anniversary.  And all is good!

Big year this year eh? Turned 30, 10 year anniversary, what's next gray hair? I hope not!

I can't believe I'm 30!

Where has time gone?

Okay Honestly I have had no problem turning 30 as a matter of fact I'm not even bothered by it.

Turning 30 has been more of a reflection then anything.

It has made me look back and take a good look at life.

These are the few things that I have learned.

1. Don't wish away today for tomorrow.

I've learned this over the last year.

Time goes by to quickly.

I wished a lot of years away by saying things like "maybe one day"

And that one day never came.

So I now say "TODAY I WILL"

2. It's okay not to wear clothes from Forever 21!

I'm serious about that one.

I'm a women and my body is not like a teenagers.

I need to wear clothes that a women would wear.  That a designer designed for women not teens.

NOT ONLY that, but dressing age appropriate is a must.  

I want to be stylish and trendy but trying to keep up with the 20 somethings is now left behind.  I might be forever 21 in my heart...but in my hips I'm not.  It's okay to dress my age.  J Crew is my friend.

That is all I'm going to share although I've learned more lessons those are the ones that I think we all can take and apply!

I used to be amazing at blogging, but I just don't have time.

You wanna know why?

Because honestly my business has become really successful and it keeps me always busy.  That and with my job as Elle and Ava's momma plus taking care of my Mister Handsome....I am one busy lady!

SOOOOO If you don't see me posting it's not because I don't like you.  I really do...it's just because I've gotten busy.

But anyway.  I love you like I love shoes and makeup and clothes and cupcakes!

I know I've been horrible at blogging lately, but my photography has kept me really busy that I don't have a lot of extra time on my hands.  I think about blogging everyday...but time just goes by to fast.

We went "snuba" diving in St. Thomas (a mix of scuba and snorkel.)

And after we were done with our Snuba...it rained...and I loved it!

I've been so bad at blogging

I know I know...I've been so bad at blogging.  I do have so much to blog about too, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Isn't this the best?!

Ava is the funniest little girl ever!  I adore this picture of her and think it's the best ever.  It shows off her little personality just perfectly!

Beautiful Elle

I often feel like I am the luckiest mom in the world to have two such beautiful girls.  My Elle is the sweetest six year old I've ever met.  Seriously she is!  

Now that she is in first grade she comes home with all sorts of tid-bits that just makes me laugh.  Yesterday I had her at the mall with me and she said to me "Mom, that is SO last season."  Seriously what first grader knows about what is last season or not.

We walked into the Gap and she saw this dress and she had to have it.  She said the color was so pretty and she would let me take pictures of her in it.  SO of course I bought it....and snapped away!

My Ava

I just had to post this picture of my beautiful two year old.  I love my new studio lighting and the way it puts catch lights in the eyes.  I am loving my new lighting and how much I can do with it!

Ava is the funnest little two year old.  She says the funniest things and is an all round hilarious child!  I enjoy my little munchkin!
