I love these two!

I know I've said it like a bazillion times...but I LOVE these two girls! I seriously think I am the luckiest momma in the entire world. I get even a little misty just thinking about my two miracles. I just think how I shouldn't even have one child, and how the Lord has blessed me with two....it is amazing to me....and quit honestly I feel sometimes so unworthy to be in charge of such choice spirits. However I feel so amazingly honored and blessed!

I just adore being their Mom!

Here are a few recent pictures of my girlies!

Mascara Wars!

I love make-up {gasps of shock...I know!}

I have a FAVORITE mascara...I have blogged about this fab-u-lash...mascara before. It is Dior's Diorshow in black! LOVE IT!

Well....I heard about a new mascara called Lash Injection by Two Faced...that was equal to Diorshow and bonus $5.00 cheaper. So I went to Ulta and found me Lash Injection.

After a week of using here is my review.

Lash Injection is a great mascara, it doesn't flake, and it does plump up your lashes. The cost of Lash Injection is $20.00

Will I continue to purchase this mascara?

NO!

Why? Because Diorshow still beats out Lash Injection....and for only $5.00 more I will stick with my oh so fav and fab Mascara...Once again Diorshow wins!

What beauty product show I blog about next?

WAAAAAA...it's not true!

It is so not true what they say "Big Girls Don't Cry!" I cried...seriously I did...like a really ugly snotty, mascara running, can't catch my breath cry....ELLE STARTED SCHOOL TODAY! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Yes I know it's only Kindergarten...but folks this is sad. I super-duper like hanging out with her all day. She is one cool kid....and I am so sad I don't have her all to myself all day long anymore...Mega frowny here!

However I am super proud of my super cool 5 year old (side thought...does anyone else want their kid to be the cool kid too?..but not too cool to get in trouble but cool enough to be cool?) She was so brave today she didn't even cry (booohooooo that makes me even more bawl baby-ish) she was so excited to start school. She woke up early (rare rare rare) and was so excited to get going. She kept looking at the window asking when it was going "to be more morning?" meaning lighter outside.

Dave gave Elle a sweet Fathers Blessing and we talked about stranger danger and decided on a family password so strangers can't steal my cutie-patootie-super cool kindi-gart-en-er!

Elle picked out her outfit (I was hoping for a different first day of school outfit..but she loved this shirt and we had to buy it...and she had to wear it on her first day)

Elle had a great first day and was so excited to be in the same class as Jonah (who is in her church class) and Elle told me this after school {who knows if it is actually true..but I believe it} "Jonah said I look pretty" she said she think it was her curls and bows.

Hopefully tomorrow won't be a "waaaaa-fest" for myself.
Hold it together Kandis...Hold it together!

Girls Camp

One of my favorite times of summer is girls camp. I love going to girls camp with the Young Women in our ward. I feel so blessed that after so many years I still haven't been kicked out. I just adore working with these girls.

This year our theme was B.U.G.S {Building Up Girls Standards} We took everything that we did at camp and focused it around the standards in For the Strength of Youth. It was SO fun! We had some of the crazy ideas, and the girls were good troupers and humored the leaders (okay me) in some of the silly stuff.

One fun thing we did at camp was "Grateful to Be Me". This tied in with the Gratitude Standard. We had the girls through camp find different things in nature that could spell out their names and take a picture of it. This is how mine turned out.

For the Standard of Dating we did a dating game that was down right hilarious! Seriously any of you YW leaders out there need a fun activity I will so lend you what I made...it was grand!

For the Standard of Dress and Appearance we had a Pajama Fashion Show, with none other then moi as the Master of Ceremony.

For Heath and Physical Activity we went zip lining (although the zip line didn't work so we made a rope swing instead) and we did some canoeing and swimming .

For the Standard of Tithes and Offerings every few hours I would walk around camp with a HUGE 5 gallon bucket filled...okay let's be honest overflowing with candy and pass out hand fulls to the girls. We asked the girls to pay their tithes and offerings to the candy jar. At the end of camp we gave our Bishop the "Candy Tithing" and explained what the girls had learned. The girls couldn't believe how much candy they received and how little they were asked to donate. It was really an awesome object lesson.

One silly craft we did was Duct Tape Bags...check these beauties out! I think they are pretty sweet! The girls even modeled their designs during the fashion show!

Bug Treats Bags! By the end of camp these bags were over flowing. {except for Martina's who left hers out overnight and got eaten by squirrels!}

Camp was so much fun...I already have oodles of ideas for next year! (Let's pray it is not Stake Camp next year!)

Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen

Dave's cousin is Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen and for the past two weeks she had been in Orlando competing for Miss America's Outstanding Teen (MAOT). I love pageantry and follow most every major pageant this pageant being no exception. As you can imagine I followed MAOT more this year then any other year. I really wish I could have gone to Florida to root for Meredith, but I couldn't so I rooted from my computer!

Prior to Meredith leaving for Florida I had the opportunity to do some mock interviewing with Meredith, and I was BLOWN away. For such a young girl she knows her stuff and has her head on SO straight. I just knew she would do well in Florida.

For almost the past two weeks I have been reading the message boards, and it was so fun to read the reviews of those who were at the pageant. Nobody said anything negative about Meredith (and why would they?!) In fact many commented on how "strong" she was in all aspects of competition. After she competed her talent on the night of her talent prelim, pageant fanatics RAVED about how unique and good she did.

Want to see that talent? Here she is our own Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen Meredith.

Meredith placed in the TOP TEN (I knew she would). And she was given the Academic Excellence award (Smarty pants!)

Oh JUICY!

They are back! You have no idea how excited I am! I thought that someone had glass-napped my beloved Juicy Sunglasses...but I was wrong. I abandoned them in my glove box {shamefully hanging my head}

But I am so happy...and so are my green eyes! YAY FOR JUICY COUTURE SUNGLASSES!
AND YAY...for ME!

I watched this video on Facebook...and I think I pee'd a little!
So clever and silly...it's quit funny!
